Maintenance and Facilites Manager
Job Summary
The Maintenance and Facilities Manager will oversee the administration and coordination of all plant maintenance activities, including production support, preventive maintenance, general facilities maintenance, janitorial services, and security at the production/warehouse facilities.
Essential Functions
- Responsible for the direct supervision of all plant maintenance mechanics.
- Mentor and train your team consistently, both daily and weekly. Mentor and train new and existing maintenance mechanics.
- Manage plant security and security personnel and oversee and maintain all security surveillance and access systems.
- Manage the company’s work order system and respond promptly and effectively to facility occupants' requests and issues.
- Assess the condition of and develop and maintain accurate records for all production machinery, racking, electrical systems, process equipment, HVAC, and other essential facilities support equipment.
- Create a schedule of regular maintenance activities related to all production, warehouse, and building equipment.
- Oversee equipment maintenance and preventative maintenance to ensure all fixtures, tools, machinery, and facility equipment are kept in excellent and safe working order to ensure maximum efficiency, effectiveness, and reliability.
- Oversee plant maintenance, internal and external, to ensure the building, equipment, and grounds are kept fully functional and that all required codes are met.
- Evaluate new equipment and incorporate ergonomics into the design of fixtures and manufacturing processes to improve quality, maximize productivity, minimize fatigue, and eliminate injury.
- Calculate and compare costs for goods and services to maximize cost-effectiveness and develop and implement cost reductions and cost improvement activities wherever possible.
- Maintain sufficient inventories of all required facility, maintenance, and janitorial supplies and initiate purchase orders as needed to maintain proper inventory levels.
- Develop and recommend new vendors and optimize resources to reduce all facility operating costs.
- Respond to facility and equipment alarms and system failures even during off hours when situations warrant them.
- Main point of contact with the landlord across all facilities. Communicate any issues with the facilities to the appropriate party and collaborate with the landlord on projects as needed.
- Assure all work is performed safely, observing all company safety policies and procedures.
- Participate and support all company initiatives such as 5S, Safety, Quality, and Sustainability efforts.
- Perform all other related duties as required and assist in other management functions and activities as requested.
Education, Experience, Skill Requirements
Experience
Five (5)+ years of facility management experience and direct supervisory experience in a manufacturing/warehouse environment.
Skills
Knowledgeable about all maintenance, facility equipment, and processes.
Education
Bachelor’s degree preferred

Compensation
The base salary range for this position is budgeted for $67,880-101,820 with eligibility for an annual bonus. The actual base salary depends on various factors and could be above or below the range depending on the applicant's qualifications, years of relevant experience, specific skills, level of education, business needs, and market demand. The full salary range for this role reflects this position's competitive labor market value and provides an opportunity to progress as associates grow and develop within the role. Bonuses are paid based on RTC’s financial results. Any payouts awarded in the first year of employment are pro-rated based on the start date. Program rules are subject to change at management’s discretion.
