Job Description

Job Summary:

As the financial analyst for RTC, this person will assist the monthly US accounting close, perform and coordinate account activity and variance analysis, and prepare financial reporting for key customers. Responsibilities vary and span key accounting areas, including financial results research and analysis, financial reporting, customer rebate analysis, tax-related inquiries from state taxing authorities, and participation in special ad-hoc projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist Month-end close with analyzing, preparing, and posting accruals and expense entries.
  • Research and respond to tax-related inquiries from taxing authorities in various states.
  • Reconcile and analyze balance sheet and P&L accounts.
  • Support annual financial audit.
  • Analyze, report, and forecast monthly production, labor, and inventory variances.
  • Prepare and report profit and loss statements of key customers.
  • Perform ad-hoc project reporting.
Experience

Education, Skills, and Attributes:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, major in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting and finance roles.
  • Experience working for a manufacturing or distribution company preferred.  
  • Strong and effective communication skills required, written and oral.
  • Analytical and detail-oriented, able to solve problems and work autonomously.
  • ERP system experience with an integrated general ledger required (LN, SAP, Oracle, etc.). 
  • Knowledge of MS Office applications and advanced Excel skills.
  • Good time management and organizational skills are required, with the ability to multi-task and prioritize.

Compensation

The base salary range for this position is budgeted for $58,608-87,912, with eligibility for an annual bonus. The actual base salary depends on various factors and could be above or below the range depending on the applicant's qualifications, years of relevant experience, specific skills, level of education, business needs, and market demand. The full salary range for this role reflects this position's competitive labor market value and provides an opportunity to progress as associates grow and develop within the role. Bonuses are paid based on RTC’s financial results.  Any payouts awarded in the first year of employment are pro-rated based on the start date.  Program rules are subject to change at management’s discretion.
