Quality Assurance Director
RTC is seeking a Quality Assurance Director to lead our organization worldwide in applying quality management/assurance practices that eliminate errors, improve processes, reduce total costs, and improve customer satisfaction. This individual will develop, implement, and sustain the systems and procedures necessary to assure the delivery of products and services that meet the highest quality standards while providing expert guidance to the senior management staff and maintaining positive communications with RTC’s customers and associates.
Responsibilities include:
- Leads the Quality Assurance organization worldwide. Provides direction and coordination for all QC/QA activities and other functions affecting product or service quality.
- Assures there is a definition of the Corporate Quality Program that meets customer requirements, clearly recognizes that everyone is responsible for quality, gives a road map for improvement, nurtures quality activities, and results in meeting or exceeding market requirements.
- Develop strong working relationships with others in the organization to influence their activities in the quality effort. Provides advice and guidance to management to integrate quality management practices into the company’s ongoing operations.
- Remains highly knowledgeable about issues and trends in quality management. Keeps abreast of customer and industry quality standards.
- Influences quality and productivity improvements through involvement in developing new and improved procedures, process innovations, and changes in corporate culture.
- Develops and maintains a sound organizational structure, staffed with qualified personnel, to perform all quality control activities. Establishes standards for measuring the performance of the quality control function.
- Manages the development and maintenance of methods and systems for measuring the degree by which the company’s quality goals and objectives are being met; provides management with the results and recommends any corrective action that may be required.
- Interfaces with design, engineering, and manufacturing to establish quality requirements on individual products and services based on customer need, the function of the product, and its reliability, salability, and value; ensure that quality considerations are properly addressed as early as possible in the product-design stage.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business or related field is required.

- A minimum of seven to ten years of experience in a manufacturing environment, managing a global quality assurance program.
- Proven success in maintaining an organizational-wide quality system (i.e., ISO9001).
- A thorough understanding of the methodology and tools used in measuring quality performance.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and an adaptive/flexible personality.
- In-depth knowledge of process analysis, standardization, improvement, and redesign.
- Results-orientated leader willing to accept responsibility to change the status quo.
- Ability to think strategically regarding quality and its impact on the organization.
- Practical knowledge of analytical tools and problem-solving methodology.
