Responsibilities

  1. Construct basic fixtures when applicable for the Production department.
  2. Perform basic preventive maintenance on various types of RTC Production equipment.
  3. Assist with the implementation of new equipment, tooling, fixtures, and processes into the production environment.
  4. Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation.
  5. Remove and replace defective parts by dismantling and repairing equipment and devices using basic hand and power tools.
  6. Adjusts functional parts of equipment and devices by using hand tools.
  7. Conserves maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
  8. Provide various forms of departmental support.
  9.  Effectively communicate and work with outside contractors and vendors when applicable.
  10. Maintains department and work areas in a clean and orderly manner in accordance with all 6S standards.
  11. Work in a safe manner, follow all safety rules and report any potential safety hazards to management.
  12. Perform other duties as required.
  13. Plan CNC machine operation utilizing shop order information as well as engineering drawings.
  14. Set-up CNC by installing and adjusting tools and attachments to achieve the required positioning.
  15. Inspect CNC machine and first article products for overall quality verifying that machine settings and positions are producing parts to specifications.
  16. Perform daily maintenance on CNC machine.
  17. Work directly with Rolling Meadows CNC group as needed.
  18. Source replacement components and equipment upgrades for all existing production equipment.
Experience

Qualifications

  1. 3+ years of related production and/or maintenance support experience.
  2.  Proficient in the safe and productive use of general maintenance tools and equipment.
  3. Strong computer skills.
  4.  Perform all duties in a safe manner with a high level of professionalism and quality.
  5.  Strong math skills for calculating dimensions required for machine set-up.
  6. Ability to analyze engineering drawings to ensure the final product matches specifications.
  7.  Understanding of CNC machine operation to ensure proper functionality and maintenance.
  8.  Strong problem-solving skills for the detection and correction of CNC program issues to ensure the machinery creates products to specifications.
  9.  Must be capable and willing to learn new skill sets.
  10. Must be able to complete tasks in a timely manner
  11.  Must be able to work independently as well as in a team setting
  12.  Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  13. Must be able to bend, kneel, and twist
  14. Must be flexible with start and finish times and available to work overtime when needed

 

Compensation

*This is a Union Position and pays $19.50/HR                                                                                                                                         

Eligible for Overtime pay after working 8 hours a day Monday-Friday and time and a half for all hours worked on Saturdays
